Alpine skiers can reach the skiing region Postalm, Zwölferhorn or Hintersee within 30 minutes by car.
There are easier pistes and lifts for beginners and children very close by.

Cross-country Skiing in the Salzkammergut

The sun reflects on the snow covered fields and meadows. It is wonderful to ski along the cross-country runs with cross-country skis and enjoy the snow-covered nature.

There are also small ski tours. Whether you go up to Irrsberg, Koglerberg or Sommerholz to the pilgrimage church, it's great fun waggling one's way downhill over the snow.

Riding in the Salzkammergut

The Mondsee region, the area around Mondsee and Irrsee, has a new tourist attraction since autumn 2000 in the riding network of approx. 100km length.

Occasionally Irrsee offers ice skating or curling. Enjoy a sleigh ride or hold the reins yourself and ride through the snow-covered landscape.
