Salzburg StadtParty as celebrations and festivals come around - it is a joy to travel to Salzburg in any "sounding" season and so glamorous as it always was: Mozart Week in January, when snow caps cover the pompous buildings of the princes' town, Easter and Whitsun Festivals, Salzburg Festivals.

The cultural life presents itself first class and very varied. Salzburg attracts merchants, artists, heads of state, scientists, and dignitaries from all over the world.

During the Advent season, when the entrances of the old bourgeois houses in the tight alleys are atmospherically alight, advent singing and the Christkindl market are very inviting. Palace concerts in Mirabell Palace, avant-garde events in the "scene" are held all year round, the jazz festival in November.

Rockhouse SalzburgRockhouse Salzburg

Since the beginning of the initial idea, the initial will, the name was set: Rockhouse...
Today after numerous efforts, struggles, changes, etc. it is stronger positioned in Salzburg's cultural scene than ever. As operators, initiators, musicians, human beings, we sense more than just a name. The term is the embodiment of something different. Always new, always fluctuating.

An institution such as the Rockhouse does not have to meet commitments, but needs, that is culture for life. Make culture com-prehendable, to provoke a sensual process of sensibilisation. Not to understand culture as a flat term, but to reflect it as change - social, societal, ecologic, politic phenomenon - and keep including it in the work process.
