Your Second Day: Salzburg and Salzkammergut

After a relaxing night in your 4-star hotel room looking out over Lake Mondsee, we recommend any of these unforgettable experiences.

For the Active:
The ski-resort of Gaissau-Hintersee is a treat for skiers of all levels with 40 km of diverse and challenging slopes. Enjoy a day of skiing away from the crowds at the larger resorts, after just a short drive from Lake Hotel Lackner.

For the Gourmet:
You are a passionate cook and would love to learn from the best. During this cooking class (for 2 to 8 participants) with Martin Lackner, you will prepare an exquisite menu and gather a wealth of culinary hints and tips to help you create outstanding cuisine. Afterwards, you and your fellow students will enjoy dinner together.

For the Cultural:
Visit Bad Ischl Ischl and any of its fascinating museums. We especially recommend the Photo Museum in the Kaiservilla. After that, the culinary delights of legendary Café Zauner are an absolute must for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Your Third Day in the Salzkammergut

Time flies on a winter holiday in the Salzkammergut Region! Make the last day of your Mondsee getaway unforgettable.

For the Active:
Embrace the natural beauty with a ski-tour of Zwolferhorn and the Schafbachalm, just a few minutes' drive from Lake Hotel Lackner. If you prefer to just relax or maybe unwind after the ski tour, visit the Salzkammergut Thermal Bath in Bad Ischl, just 40 minutes from Mondsee, and soak in one of their many hot salt water pools.

For the Gourmet:
Cold nights during your winter break are perfect for sitting down to an extended gourmet dinner, bursting with exquisite winter flavours. You can make yourself at home in our toasty warm restaurant or wintergarden and let Martin Lackner and his team spoil you with his award-winning cuisine and perhaps a selected bottle from our comprehensive wine cellar.

For the Cultural:
The UNESCO World Heritage site at Hallstatt is an unrivalled combination of nature, architecture, culture and history which will amaze you. The famous Beinhaus (Bone House), the World Heritage Museum and the historic burial ground are examples of Austria's rich cultural history.
