2 Days Salzkammergut

Short Trip

A Weekend in Mondsee and Salzburg

Enjoy a wonderful short break in the Salzkammergut and, whether you prefer being active, want to relax and taste fantastic food or wish to partake in some of the culture Salzburg has to offer, you will find the perfect home in Lake Hotel Lackner. Of course, you can combine all the above to create that short break to remember.

Your First Day: Mondsee

Start your day with breakfast as you enjoy the marvellous views of Lake Mondsee from our restaurant, the open wintergarden or lake terrace. After that we recommend taking a first walk along the Mondsee Promenade and towards the idyllic village streets in Mondsee.

For the Active:
Lake Mondsee is a water sports paradise. With so many options on offer, why not try something new like waterskiing or kitesurfing ? Trial courses are available during the summer.

For the Gourmet:
What better way to spend a balmy summer night than relaxing on our lake terrace or wintergarden, where you can enjoy a lighter, but equally delectable meal, composed by award-winning chef Martin Lackner, complimented perfectly by a selected bottle from our outstanding wine cellar.

For the Cultural:
During spring and summer, Salzburg offers an abundance of cultural events during the Easter, Whitsun and Summer Festivals. You will be spoilt for choice with the variety of events, concerts and theatre taking place throughout the city. These cultural gems of Salzburg are only a 30 minutes' drive away from Lake Hotel Lackner.

Your Second Day: Salzburg and Salzkammergut

After recharging your batteries overnight, you can continue your weekend break by spending an unforgettable day partaking in your favourite activities.

For the Active:
Enjoy "high tee" on one of the many manicured golf courses courses in Mondsee and its surroundings. Guests at Lake Hotel Lackner can enjoy a discounted green fee for the Weyregg and Drachenwand golf clubs.

For the Gourmet:
Grace the final evening of your mini-break with a wine tasting in the stylish setting of Lake Hotel Lackner’s wine cellar, where you can select from an extensive selection of wines, comprising tens of thousands of bottles.

For the Cultural:
We recommend a visit to the historical "Emperor's Town" that is Bad Ischl, especially during the Lehár Festival or to attend a concert of the Ischler Kurorchester. For fans of painter Gustav Klimt, a tour around Lake Attersee, inspiration for many of his landscapes, is a definite must.

Gourmet Tip:
Martin Lackner's home-made stocks, all freshly prepared, are available for you to take home at the end of your weekend break. Please ensure you order them on your first day at Lake Hotel Lackner.
